Brooke and Celeste are Gottman-trained educators and happy to bring Dr. John Gottman's life-changing principles to you and your spouse!
This course is based off of Dr. John Gottman's best-selling book 7 Principles to Make Marriage Work. For this session, we will be focusing on mixed-faith couples, or couples where one spouse is experiencing a shift in their faith. We will still be using Dr. John Gottman's curriculum, but we will be highlighting how his research and principles apply to mixed faith couples. Every example we give will pertain specifically to the challenges these couples are experiencing.
The Seven Principles Workshop for couples is a marriage workshop based on the internationally acclaimed research of Dr. John Gottman. This educational workshop has been offered across the US and internationally, and has strengthened the relationships of tens of thousands of couples. It's specifically designed to help couples improve their friendship and learn powerful communication and conflict management skills.
The workshop includes lectures, demonstrations, videos and private couples exercises. The activities are fun, insightful and informative. And there is no need to worry about sharing your personal problems with others... we don't do any group sharing at this workshop unless you want to!

THE DETAILS:
We will meet on WebEx (just like Zoom) every Thursday evening for 2 hours for 6 weeks (specific meeting time will be voted on by the group prior to the first class). The classes will begin Thursday, April 22 and end Thursday, June 3. The classes will be recorded and may be watched later if you cannot attend a class live.
We will mail you Gottman workbooks previous to the start of our first class. Since we need time to mail the books, registration will close Sunday, April 11.
FAQ:
My spouse and I are still in the same faith, we just don't see eye to eye, should we still join?
Absolutely! Really every marriage is a mixed-faith marriage to one degree or another. No two people see exactly eye to eye. If relgion/faith is a source of contention in your marriage in any capacity, you belong in our class!
My spouse's faith shift is still a secret, we aren't ready to share it with anyone yet.
No worries. We won't be doing any uncomfortable sharing in this course. Also, participants are not on camera during the course.
What if the group chooses a time that doesn't work for our family's schedule?
While we hope to accommodate as many couples as we can to be able to be there live, we understand we can't please everyone! All the classes will be recorded, so you can view them and do the exercises whenever works best for you!
Will we be on camera?
Nope! We will provide a lecture, then give time to do some activities and answer questions together as a couple with everyone on mute! We'll have the chat box open for discussion and answering questions.
We won't have a babysitter! What if our kids are loud?
Not a problem! You'll be muted with no video. And since the classes will all be recorded, you and your spouse can watch them whenever is most convenient for you!
Can I join without my spouse?
The activities are meant for couples to discuss and work out together, so the registration is per couple, not per person. If there are extenuating circumstances, please let us know!
